Brittny C. Lyle, M.A.M.F.T., LAPC

Brittny C. Lyle received an M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy at Richmont Graduate University (formerly PSI) and a B.S. in Psychology at Oakwood University.  She is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (GA #APC002911). Brittny also seeks to further her professional credentials to include National Certified Counselor and Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. Brittny is in practice at Trillium Springs Counseling under the direction and supervision of Vilda S. Brannen, M.S., LPC, in Atlanta.

Brittny has always had a heart for listening and speaking to others about life issues.  As an adolescent and young adult, she was a very active member in her church as she often created skits and programs directed toward youth, young adults, and families.  She believed that it was necessary to highlight and discuss issues related to sex, drugs, peer pressure, dating, parenting, effects of divorce, communication, as well as other topics of interest.

During her internship year at Richmont, Brittny provided individual, couple, and family therapy at the Hope Counseling Center at West Cobb to clients dealing with issues including: infidelity, sex and drug addiction, mother-daughter conflict, parenting concerns, newlywed/marital counseling, attachment issues, and family-of-origin issues.  She also interned at First Baptist Woodstock Pastoral Counseling Ministry, providing therapy to women of all ages dealing with issues of depression, anxiety, self-esteem, codependency, abuse, trauma, body image, eating disorders, sexual addiction, infertility, grief and loss, spiritual concerns, and suicide.  She also has worked with borderline personality types, bipolar disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Brittny’s approach to counseling is integrative, holistic, and client-centered, and her work is greatly influenced by interpersonal, family systems, and cognitive-behavioral theories.  She greatly values the therapist-client relationship as it provides the opportunity to better understand each client’s unique life experiences, struggles, and needs.  Her desire is to help individuals understand their inner strengths so that they may grow and thrive in their lives.
