Chip Carter, M.A., LPC

Chip is a Licensed Professional Counselor with the State of Georgia.  He received a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from Western Kentucky University and spent 7+ years in the marketing & advertising world.  Tired of the long hours and corporate stress, Chip pursued education and training in Christian counseling and graduated from Richmont Graduate University (then known as the Psychological Studies Institute) in May, 2004 with a Masters in Professional Counseling with a specialization in Spiritual Direction.

Alongside working at Trillium Springs Counseling as an independent contractor, Chip serves as the Director of Outpatient Services for Murphy Harpst Community Services, a division of Murphy Harpst Children’s Centers.  There, he provides individual and family therapy to adolescents and adults as well as overseeing the day-to-day operations of the center.

Chip has also provided counseling services for Mount Paran North Church of God, Morningstar Family Resource Center, PSI Hope Counseling Center and The Anxiety & Stress Management Institute.  He enjoys working with adolescents and adults dealing with the following issues:  ADD/ADHD, anger management, anxiety & stress management, depression, marital therapy, pre-engagement counseling and spiritual direction.

Chip and his wife Amanda are active members of Vintage 242 Church and live in Kennesaw.  He does not accept private insurance as payment, but can provide you a Super Bill to submit to your insurance company and sliding scale spots are available as well.  For more information, feel free to contact Chip directly at 404-895-9984 or by email at atlchipster@yahoo.com
