Judy Keappler, M.A., M.Ed., LAPC
Licensed Associate Professional Counselor

Judy received her Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Richmont Graduate University. Additionally, she holds a Master in Education from Georgia State University, as well as, a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Berry College.  Judy is certified in Prepare/Enrich and provides a comprehensive couple assessment, premarital preparation and marriage enrichment.  As a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (#APC002365), Judy is in practice at Trillium Springs Counseling under the direction of Vilda Brannen, M.S., LPC, in Atlanta, GA.

Judy has successfully worked with children, adults and families as a teacher in the public and private school settings, and as a home school professional for numerous years. Her experience as a counselor has included providing both individual and couples counseling services at Mount Paran North and the Hope Counseling Center. Judy enjoys her work with young adults, couples, and individuals of many ages.

Judy believes that a strong therapeutic relationship with her clients provides a safe environment that allows each person to explore and determine their own goals for change. Her colleagues have noted that Judy displays unconditional acceptance, interest, and insight to her clients. She possesses a passion to help her clients gain hope to in the midst of their despair and suffering to experience real change, rather than solely learning to cope better with their circumstances.  Judy believes strongly that transformation is possible for those who choose to pursue and work hard toward that change.

Her many years of working with children, adults and families has allowed Judy to sharpen her skills and help others face multiple life challenges with boundaries, codependency, communication, identity development, marital and personal relationships, intimacy, parenting skills (including special needs children), personal and spiritual growth, women and men that have been betrayed by their spouse’s sexual addiction, missionaries that work with ministries in the states and also those returning from overseas, trauma survival, and women’s issues.

Judy has been married to her husband for 25 years and is the mother to a 21 year old son and 17 year old daughter.  In her free time, she enjoys her friends, reading, hiking, and the adventure of travel with her family.
