Kim’s
background includes 10 years of lay counseling and ministry
experience. Kim’s passion is to help empower people
with wholeness and healing: body, soul and spirit. Kim
has worked as a volunteer counselor in her church, in
her community and as an intern at Highland Rivers,
Canton, GA. Kim has provided biblical, Christian
counseling while working at her church and in her
community. Kim’s internship provided her with
experience in such areas as Bipolar Disorder, PTSD,
schizophrenia, personality disorders and addictions.
Kim
enjoys working with a broad range of issues, with a
concentrated focus on “inner healing” from childhood
wounds and in working with those suffering from
depression and anxiety disorders, emphasizing a holistic
approach to treatment planning. Whether working with
individuals or with couples, Kim seeks to help every
individual feel safe, significant, and in a trusted
environment where goals can be met and growth can
occur. Kim uses an eclectic approach to therapy in order
to individualize therapy based upon presenting problem
and “fit.” Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is often Kim’s
preferred therapy model to address depression and
anxiety, based on research findings showing positive
outcomes.
In
order to reach greater populations of people with her
ministry of hope and healing, Kim is available for
speaking engagements, women’s conferences and
professional seminars.
Kim
lives in Canton, GA with her husband and high school
sweetheart, Reid. Together they have two children, Jason
and Joshua, and a granddaughter, Hayliee.
