Sarah
received her Master's degree in Marriage and Family
Therapy with an emphasis in counseling and spirituality
from Richmont Graduate University (formerly PSI). She
also holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Kansas
State University.
Sarah
has gained rich experience through her involvement at
both the Richmont Hope Counseling Center and Atlanta
Christian College. She provided counseling services to
individuals and couples of all ages, but focused on the
adolescent and young adult age group. Throughout this
experience, Sarah has worked with such issues as:
depression, anxiety, self-worth, communication, stress
management, impulse, sexuality, grief, trauma, divorce
recovery, vocational/transitional, relationship,
spiritual and missionary issues.
Sarah is passionate about coming alongside others and
walking with them into the light. She believes in
meeting clients where they are and having a holistic
approach. Her approach includes a systemic look at the
family and community and also draws upon other theories
when appropriate. Her goal is to get a thorough
understanding of the past and present circumstances and
move forward with the client, not just to a solution,
but to rich personal growth. Sarah considers it an honor
to be brought into the private lives of others and looks
forward to hearing more and more stories and getting to
be the one to offer understanding, direction and hope.
Sarah
