Vilda
is a Licensed Professional Counselor
specializing in the management and treatment
of bipolar disorder alongside some of
Atlanta’s most respected psychiatrists.
Her passion is to bring both knowledge and
insight to those facing the challenges of
living a life with bipolar disorder. She
states, "I count it a blessing to climb the
cliffs, to traverse the crevices and to walk
in the valleys alongside clients on their
paths to self realization, self
determination and recovery." She provides
counseling at both
Trillium Springs
Counseling in
Atlanta, Georgia and at the
Counseling Group
of Highlands in Highlands, North Carolina.
She
received a Bachelor of Science in Education
from Georgia Southern University. She then
received a Master of Science in Counseling
Psychology from Lee University and a Master
of Science in Christian Psychological
Studies/Applied Practice from The
Psychological Studies Institute. She has
specialized training in Critical Incident
Stress Management and is a Certified Trainer
for the National Institute of Relationship
Enhancement.
Vilda has provided counseling services at
both inpatient and outpatient facilities
including Good Samaritan Community Health
Center, My Sister’s House of Atlanta Union
Mission, Hope Counseling Centers of The
Psychological Studies Institute, Bethany
Christian Services, The Anxiety & Stress
Management Institute and as a volunteer for
the American Red Cross Disaster Relief
Mental Health team. She has provided
educational programs for the Depression and
Bipolar Support Alliance of Atlanta/Emory,
Vocational Rehabilitation Division of the
Georgia Department of Labor, Richmont
Graduate University and local
schools and churches. She leads Spiritual
Direction & Growth Groups at Trillium
Springs Retreat Center at our facility
located in western North Carolina.
Vilda is
a Licensed Professional Counselor in both
Georgia (#4368) and North Carolina (#4971)
and a National Certified Counselor (#74976).
She holds memberships in the American
Counseling Association, the American
Association of Christian Counselors and the
Licensed Professional Counselors Association
of Georgia. She is a life member of Phi
Upsilon Omicron National Honorary
Fraternity.
